XI. File Formats

The ﬁ le formats that this device can support are numerous, but not inﬁ nite. The pre-

installed apps should allow you to view many Microsoft Ofﬁ ce ﬁ le formats, including

Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as many eReader ﬁ le types, and music and video

ﬁ le types.

Most ﬁ les should work, but not all ﬁ les are encoded the same. For example, some

MPEG4 ﬁ les will work but others may not, depending on how they were encoded and

compressed. It should be treated with a case-by-case approach.
